Tax Manager, State and Local

We are currently seeking a Tax Manager to join us in our Stamford office.
Responsibilities:

Assist state and local tax professionals with tax planning, refund analysis, nexus review and contractual registrations

Supervise, mentor and develop staff members

Assist with the business development, management and delivery of SALT services

Maintain high levels of staff utilization

Provide assistance and oversight on large client project engagements
Job Requirements
Qualifications:

Five years of experience in providing sales and transactions tax research and technical advice on multi-state issues

Strong knowledge of the development, planning and execution of sales and transactions tax refund claims

Experience with various other corporate taxes and their impact on sales tax

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting or a related field of study from an accredited college/universityKPMG offers and supports flexible work arrangements as well as part-time schedules.
