The Insurance practice of the Financial Services Tax group of PricewaterhouseCoopers Los Angeles works with most of the top insurance companies located in the Western United States. The client base consists of the largest insurance companies in the west region as well as various middle market companies in the life, property and casualty and managed care business. The position is a mix of 50 % consulting and 50 % compliance; some recent special projects include international restructuring for a large C2 mortgage insurer, and application of new state tax legislation to various insurance companies. Tax managers have the chance to develop their skills in managing staff, and will receive a great deal of personal mentoring and career development.
REQUIREMENTS
Education Requirement:
B.S. required, MS Tax preferred. CPA or Member of the Bar required.Essential Requirements:
5-9 years tax experience, including at least one year working with insurance clients. Recent public accounting experience a plus, as well as at least one year staff management experience. This position requires strong written and verbal communication skills due to the high level of direct client interaction.
