Tax Compliance Analyst (Corporate)

Classification: Consulting Compensation: $35.00 to $45.00 per hour Responsible for the preparation and filing of the quarterly estimated federal and state income tax payments for all companies.
Responsible for communicating timely requests and securing appropriate data needed for the preparation of the federal and state income tax returns.
Responsible for the review and interpretation of current publications covering tax laws, regulations, court cases and rules to determine their applicability to the state and local compliance activities the company. Formulate procedures to assure the company's compliance with all applicable state laws.
Responsible for the analysis of all federal and state income tax accounts.
Responsible for determining filing requirements for the filing of tax returns and maintaining a calendar of due dates for these returns.
Responsible for writing and/or updating computer programs to comply with current tax laws and regulations.
Maintains analysis of deferred taxes for tax accounting purposes in accordance with FAS 109.
Maintains documentation of data used in preparing federal and state income tax returns.
Maintains fixed asset tax depreciation for federal and state purposes.
Reviews the filing of monthly sales and use tax returns and assuring compliance with state tax laws.
Review the filing of personal property tax returns assuring compliance with state tax laws.
Assists outside auditors in review and analysis of tax workpapers during the annual year end audit.
Assists in responding to federal audit document requests.
Coordinates the state tax audits of the company and its subsidiaries. Gathers and assimilates information requested by examining agent.
