Our results-oriented and collaborative team environment encourages the development of creative solutions to the most challenging engineering, scientific, logistics, and construction issues.OVERVIEW:As requested by the Director of Taxes, the Senior Tax Specialist will be responsible for providing tax planning, compliance and audit support for Parsons Corporations' domestic and international operations.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:The Senior Tax Specialist will provide tax review and advice on domestic and international engineering and construction projects during the bidding process to ensure proposals, contracts, and other agreements are consistent with Parsons' global tax strategy.Such advice will: recommend preferred contract tax articles (language),
identify U.S. and host country tax implications,
recommend the most tax efficient contracting/operating structure, and
identify associated tax costs for bid purposes.The Senior Tax Specialist will ensure that Parsons minimizes its international income tax expense by providing U.S. and foreign tax research and planning for international operations. Responsibilities will include making recommendations for structuring the Company's worldwide operations and minimizing host country taxes.As requested by the Director of Taxes, the Senior Tax Specialist will provide tax research and advice on issues raised in tax audits.As requested by the Director of Taxes, the Senior Tax Specialist will provide tax advice to Human Resources staff on the mitigation of non-U.S. employment taxes and the preparation of tax agreements for employees performing services in foreign services.The Senior Tax Specialist will provide written guidance on the implications to Parsons Corporation of newly enacted federal, state, and foreign country tax legislation, court decisions, and administrative decrees/ regulations.As requested by the Director of Taxes, the Senior Tax Specialist will provide coordination and technical review/support to the Corporate Tax Department's Compliance Section in the completion of its annual income tax accrual review and the gathering of domestic and foreign tax return reporting information for tax return reporting purposes.The Senior Tax Specialists will advise and assist Corporate and GBU (Finance, Treasury and Legal) management with the implementation of project tax plans and tax savings strategies.PREFERRED EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:The successful candidate must have:B.A. or B.S. in business, accounting, or finance and a J.D. in Law, Masters of Taxation, or a C.P.A.4-7 years of progressive tax research, planning and compliance experience in domestic and international tax issues within an international company.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Excellent internet research skills including the ability to use RIA and CCH' web site.COMPREHENSIVE BENEFITS AND COMPETITIVE SALARY:Parsons offers a competitive compensation and benefits package which includes medical, dental, vision, and life insurance; tuition reimbursement program; credit union membership; Employee Stock Ownership Plan, 401(k) plan, career development and more.EOE/M/F/D/V.
