System Adminstrator - Windows Platform

Description:
This position will perform systems administration on Windows platforms for multiple data centers. The candidate will work closely with the Operations team supporting full project life cycles in high availability n-tiered environments. Supported projects involve government entities and will require security clearance.Responsibilities:
o Will perform various administration functions from Austin office or Dallas data center in support of multiple data centers focusing on Windows and .NET applications.
o Will perform systems administration tasks including equipment build and repair, operating systems deployment and upgrades, application deployment and updates, operating system patching, environment documentation, backup and recovery and desktop support.
o Will assist with operating system and application performance tuning and capacity planning.
o Will provide support for Microsoft Windows 2000/2003, Microsoft ISA, Microsoft IIS, Microsoft Operations Manager, Microsoft .Net Framework and Microsoft SQL Server 2000 in a fully redundant environment. Will work as part of a team and provide rotating 24x7 support.
Requirements:
o Minimum 3-5 years Windows administration experience in an operations environment with a focus on data centers. Proficiency in Active Directory implementations, MS DNS, and IIS desirable.
o 3+ years Network Administration experience including configuration and support of Cisco and CheckPoint devices is advantageous.
o Minimum 1-3 years IT consulting experience.
o 24x7 availability required
Preferred Qualifications:
o Systems management experience using Microsoft Operations Manager, HP OpenView, Tivoli, or BMC a plus.
o Solid documentation and communication skills required.
o Must be able to work in a team environment.
o MCSA 2000 certification required. MCSE 2000 certification desirable.
o UNIX systems administration ( Solaris preferred ) is advantageous
