Supervisor Financial Administration

The role of the Financial Administration Group is to accurately report the performance and financial accounting information of mutual funds (or other registered investment accounts) to shareholders, the SEC and the investment community at large. Among other things, they are responsible for the following items:



Preparation of the semi-annual and annual financial statements

Preparation of annual budgets and review of monthly expense accrual analyses

Preparation and filing of Forms N-SAR, N-CSR, N-Q and 24f-2

Calculation and dissemination of monthly performance information



Job Summary:



A Supervisor is responsible for assuring that the assigned activities for the team are completed accurately and in compliance with stated regulatory and/or departmental deadlines. A Supervisor is responsible for ensuring the team is following the departmental procedures and controls. A Supervisor is also responsible for developing expertise on financial administration theories and practices within the team; defining goals and objectives for the team; and interacting effectively with designated individuals at assigned client firms to build strong working relationships.



Position Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Ensure accuracy and timely distribution of work product

Monitor procedures and controls within the team

Provide technical and management/leadership support and guidance to team members on a regular basis

Problem solving for team and resolving issues

Review and approve team work within departmental / client guidelines

Facilitate audits; interact effectively with external audit personnel to assure timely response to questions or issues as they arise

Lead team in special team projects and client requests

Interview, hire and provide performance management of team members

Write performance evaluations for team members on an annual or as-needed basis

Define departmental needs and creative solutions to address those needs

Support and implement departmental initiatives

Promote interaction within the department to apply processes consistently across all other teams to maintain efficient operations

Participate in development and facilitation of departmental training courses
REQUIREMENTS
Minimum criteria are:

Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or business-related area or equivalent work experience

Recommended minimum of 3 years industry-related experience

Experience working with Microsoft Office Products (Excel, Word) required

Solid communication skills

Strong analytical skills
