Job Description:
Position Purpose


Under Administrative direction, the employee supervises a team of Credit and Collections representatives to ensure compliance with the established Department standards, policies and procedures and strategic goals.


Major Tasks, Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities


AuditingResponsibilities - 35%

Audits and monitors ACD to ensure compliance with Dept standards.

Generate related reports and follow up on sub-standard performance

Completes all auditing functions by the 15th of the following month.

Provide feedback and suggestions for improvement to staff

Performs and score Call Assessments at a minimum rate of 4 calls per Rep per month


Supervision and Administration - 40%

Manages Department workload and redistributes resources as needed to effect the timely release of pending orders and collection of receivables

Coordinates Uptraining sessions for staff on a continuous basis throughout the year

Coordinates cross training schedules with other Home Depot Departments for yourself and your staff

Arrange to present overviews of the Credit Dept as requested by other Departments and side-by-side training with our Credit Reps

Collaborates with other MW management staff to successfully overcome any complaints/obstacles re: workflow or points of procedure

Continually assesses Department processes for improvement opportunities.


Staff Maintenance-25%

Coordinates floor coverage to meet minimum staffing levels

Approves and denies time-off requests including employee counseling for excessive tardies and other non-compliance with Dept/Company policies. Also includes shift change requests

Interviews prospective new hires and internal applicants.
Makes informed recommendations to manager on suitable candidates for hire/promotion

Trains all new credit reps.

Coaches and mentor staff to set and achieve their personal and professional goals

Prepares all Performance Evaluations on your staff according to established guidelines and within deadlines.


Environmental Job Requirements - The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, however, can range from moderate to loud.
Minimum Qualifications

Must be eighteen years of age

Must pass the Drug Test

Must pass the Background Check

Must pass pre-employment tests if applicable


Education Required - The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a high
school diplomas and/or GED.


Years of Relevant Work Experience - 2


Physical Job Requirements - Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is
frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.


Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Competencies


Knowledge Required: Comprehensive understanding of Credit Dept. policies, procedures and strategic goals. Familiarity with Home Depot policies and procedures.


Skills Required: Effective listening skills, written and verbal skills, good time management and organizational skills, decision-making skills. Familiarity with PCs (Oracle, WORD &EXCEL programs), excellent interpersonal skills.


Abilities Required: Supervise/lead staff to complete work within established standards and deadlines. Correct sub-standard performance/behavior in a sensitive fashion, motivate and train staff to meet or exceed requirements. The ability to solve problems.
