Supervising Accountant

Publicly traded company in the Triangle area is seeking a strong accountant to add to their accounting and finance team. The ideal candidate will meet the following qualifications: 4 year degree in accounting, CPA or CMA certification, have the ability to oversee the work of staff accountants, 5+ years of accounting experience (including some supervisory experience), including complete month end close process and preparing financial statements and monthly reporting. Experience with SOX is essential as well as having worked with a large ERP system, preferably SAP or Oracle. The candidate should also have experience with Hyperion software.In addition to the above, the position will be responsible for balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures, accuracy of the general ledger, providing excellent customer service to other departments and external customers, creating and implementing new policies and procedures and special research and analysis projects as they arise.Salary to $70k, great benefits package.
