Subprime Investor Reporting Contract Negotiation Analyst



The Investor Reporting area is responsible for the accounting, reporting, reconciling, and remitting on a regular basis for all investors/customers of the mortgage company. The area encompasses all agency and private investor portfolios, ensuring that activity, balances, actual payments/scheduled payments and reporting are carried out in a controlled, timely, and accurate manner.



This position is responsible for the administration and maintenance of the processes associated with new servicing deals, such as reviewing and evaluating all new/proposed servicing agreements with respect to investor reporting requirements, monitoring monthly new loan and securitization activity, maintaining monthly deal matrices, coordinating Investor negotiations among Private Investors, Structured Finance, and other internal areas and establishing/facilitating regular meetings with various internal/external partners to coordinate the initiation and resolution of issues.

Review and evaluate all new/proposed Subprime servicing agreements with respect to investor reporting requirements and constraints. Review and evaluate potential servicing acquisitions and provide feedback to management with a recommendation to purchase based on potential risks. The due diligence may require travel. Assist with securitization activities, including reviewing servicing agreements and coordinating Investor negotiations among Private Investors, Structured Finance, and various internal areas. Complete loan transfers and cash settlements and research discrepancies. Assist with all conversion tasks, including project planning, data mapping, validations and cycle testing. Establish and facilitate regular meetings with business partners to address and resolve issues associated with new loan processes. Manage multiple priorities and effectively communicate with and across internal LOBs and clients, Investor Reporting areas and all levels of management within the organization. Work with IT and other various internal areas to ensure compliance with investor guidelines. Compile and analyze various monthly reports to be submitted to senior management. Develop/update procedures for the processes associated with the above functions. Manage input and updates relating to the Reg AB database. Assist with miscellaneous department functions as required.
REQUIREMENTS


Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or other business related field preferred, or equivalent work experience. Extensive knowledge of Investor Reporting with overall familiarity of mortgage banking/servicing industry, including FNMA, FHLMC, GNMA and Private Investor guidelines preferred. Knowledge of computer applications required, including, but not limited to Microsoft Access, Excel, Word, VB Excel and Access Macros, AS400, database techniques and concepts. Knowledge of mortgage servicing system, preferably LSAMS. Excellent project management skills required as well as excellent written & verbal communication skills. The individual will be self-motivated and possess excellent organization and interpersonal skills. Familiarity with servicing agreements and other servicing documents a plus.
