Structured Finance Associate-Credit Risk Management

Our client, a Major European Bank with offices in New York City, will be hiring an Associate with 2 + years experience as a credit risk analyst for their Structured Finance Group. The ideal candidate will have strong credit skills pertaining to securitized student loan portfolio transactions, and with specific knowledge of CLO/CBO/CDS structures. Our client is offering a starting salary up to $85K plus a bonus

Major Responsibilities:
•Prepare write-ups for new asset backed securities and other structured transactions, calculating credit risks and ensuring adherence to bank’s credit risk policy and methodology, regularly presenting findings on all transactions to credit committee
•Prepare annual reviews of portfolio transactions, including analyses of credit derivative counterparties and loan insurance providers
•Regularly monitor student loan/ABS portfolios – reporting on changes, important industry updates and keeping management apprised of findings
•Monitor both new and existing student loan servicers – making credit risk determinations and reporting to management to recommend ratings assignments and credit limitsJob Requirements
•2 + Years’ experience at a Commercial Bank as a Credit Risk Analyst
•Must have structured finance experience monitoring student loan portfolio transactions, CLO/CBO/CDS and other structures
•Strong credit skills – financial analysis, risk ratings determinations – formal bank credit training a plus
•Excellent written and oral communications , with an ability to work within time sensitive deadlines
•Strong computer literacy – MS Office, Internet skills
•Undergraduate degree, business, finance or accounting – MBA a plus
