Statutory Reporting & GAAP Manager

Position Summary:

To provide technical accounting research and support for new corporate ventures and reporting to both internal and external audiences. To provide support and review of Board and Rating Agency materials. Provide leadership for regulatory matters.



To review and analyze the GAAP and statutory financial statements through the review of financial data from various sources (general ledger, supporting schedules, acturial resources, investment dept resources).



Participate in due diligence activities.



Dimensions:

All GAAP and statuory components of the financial statements.



Nature and Scope:

This position reports to the controller.



The primary responsibility of this position is to provide technical expertise for STAT/GAAP/SEC matters. This is acomplished through reliance upon both knowledge of GAAP principles and SEC reporting practices along with in depth knowledge of the tools and resources corporately available for delivering the necessary information.



In addition, this position may be involved with the review of the financial statements for the various entities of the entrprise as well as developing recommendations for the process improvements.



The position may control the external audit process.

CPA

Extensive experience in GAAP and Statutory Reporting
