The Staff Auditor II will assist in monitoring the annual testing plan of Legg Mason's program for compliance with Sarbanes Oxley Section 404 and evaluating control deficiencies. Will also test and evaluate the effectiveness of key controls identified in Legg Mason's SOX 404 compliance program (entity-wide, key financial process and end-user computing), prepare and organize well-documented work papers and provide occasional supervision of Staff Auditor I, as needed in SOX 404 testing assignments. Other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
Prospective candidates should have a Bachelor's degree, concentration in Accounting or Finance, and at least two years auditing experience or securities regulatory examination experience. Experience in testing of key controls under SOX 404 compliance program and financial services experience a plus, particularly in securities brokerage/asset management. Candidate must be available for approximately 25% travel. CPA or CIA designation highly desirable.Legg Mason is an equal opportunity employer.
