Legg Mason's Internal Audit Department is currently seeking a Staff Auditor II to work in the Baltimore, Maryland location. The Staff Auditor will participate in audit planning, including developing audit programs and determining audit objectives and scope. Perform detailed audit procedures as set forth in each audit program, ensuring that the audit objectives are met. Prepare clear, concise, and well-documented work papers evidencing the testing performed and related results. Evaluate audit results and develop recommendations to address deficiencies, weaknesses, and areas of concern noted during the performance of the audit. Assist with the preparation of audit reports. Participate in audit planning and exit meetings with management. Provide occasional supervision of Staff Auditor I, as needed on audit assignments.
REQUIREMENTS
Prospective candidates should have a Bachelor's degree, concentration in Accounting or Finance, at least two years auditing experience or securities regulatory examination experience. Financial services experience a plus, particularly in securities brokerage/asset management, candidate must be available for approximately 15% travel. CPA or CIA designation highly desirable.
