Staff Acctnt/General Acctnt

The Southeast Region accounting office is seeking a General Ledger Accountant. Duties will include:Reconcile and analyze various trial balance accounts including, but not limited to prepaid expenses, other assets, intercompany accounts and miscellaneous accruals;
Prepare bank reconciliations;
Prepare journal entries and related support as deemed necessary;
Resolve accounting discrepancies as appropriate;
Perform various month-end closing procedures;
Interact with internal and external auditors to assist in completion of audits;
Actively participate in cross-functional team meetings as necessary;
Continuously look for ways to improve workflow, efficiency and streamline processes;
Perform detailed analysis of financial results and budget to actual variances;
Assistance with 10-Q & 10-K supporting schedules
Perform other related duties/projects as assigned.Qualifications
Exceptional communication, listening and organizational skills.
Applicants must have the ability to work independently in a fast paced environment.
