Staff Accountant up to 50K

International Corporation is seeking a Staff Accountant for their Charlotte location.
Responsibilities include:
Compile and analyze financial information to prepare entries to accounts, such as general ledger accounts, and document business transactions
Analyze financial information detailing assets, liabilities and capital; prepare balance sheet, profit and loss statements and other reports to summarize current and projected company financial position
Review entries in the general ledger and subsidiary ledgers for accuracy; research discrepancies and make corrections; prepare monthly reconciliations of assigned accounts
Maintain general ledger inventory control accounts and review perpetual inventory activity
Research account variances
Review and record accruals and adjustments to general ledger accounts
Produce reports, consolidated information and other relevant data on request
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent
1+ years job-related experience and/or training
Read and comprehend simple correspondence; read and interpret less straightforward material such as activity reports, procedure manuals, and non-standard letters
Write simple correspondence as well as more complex material such as progress reports, detailed forms, procedures and non-standard letters and memos
Perform simple math functions, such as counting, adding, subtracting, multiplying, or dividing
Calculate percentages, fractions or basic statistics, basic algebra or geometry
Use spreadsheet, database, word processing and financial software to enter, edit and retrieve data
Maintain high levels of confidential information
Knowledge and understanding of GAAP
