Staff Accountant - strong growth potential!

Summary
Performs multiple accounting functions requiring strong analytical and accounting skills. Requires general knowledge of accounting and finance to successfully perform the various functions such as fixed asset management, departmental budgets and accounting for debt and related interest and fees.

Familiar with standard concepts, practices and procedures within the accounting field. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks and works under general supervision. A limited degree of creativity and latitude is required.

Responsibilities:
·Responsible for accounting for 10+ corporate entities, including analysis and tax reporting requirements
·Responsible for managing fixed asset system, including recording depreciation expense and CIP entries
·Prepares reconciliation of CIP, fixed assets and accumulated depreciation accounts
·Assist with corporate/department budgets including working with department heads to establish budgets and assist department heads with questions on their budgets
·Responsible for accounts payable and payroll cash reconciliations
·Prepares reconciliation and analysis of other accounts such as sales tax, various accruals, prepaid expenses, etc.
·Assist with consolidation process by preparing inter-company reconciliation of inter-company notes, accounts payable and receivable and interest income and expense
·Back up for the inter-company billing process, including producing statements and resolving discrepancies

Successful candidates will possess the following:Experience:

·Strong working knowledge of accounting software package, Excel and Word
·2 years experience in a related position in a corporate
·Bachelor Degree in Accounting
·Excellent verbal and communication skills required.
·Ability to work in a team-oriented environment that is fast paced and demanding
·Must be self-directed, have excellent initiative and organizational skills
·Exhibits a strong ability to handle multiple demands with a sense of urgency, drive and energy
·Works well under stress with the ability to deliver on time
