Staff Accountant - Real Estate

Prestigious real estate company in Santa Monica looking for a staff accountant with property management experience, and strong Excel skills to join our team. We offer a competitive salary package and excellent work/life balance. Salary depends on experience. Position has excellent growth opportunity.
JOB DESCRIPTION:

•Assist CFO with accounting projects. This will include, but is not limited to special transactions, i.e. acquisitions, dispositions, and systems related projects.
•Maintains the general ledger and directs the month-end close process
•Prepares and reviews journal entries
•Performs and reviews G/L account reconciliations
•Oversees the month-end P&L review
•Reviews, investigates, and corrects errors and inconsistencies in financial entries, documents and reports
•Oversee/coordinate/analyze all cash receipts/cash disbursements for assigned portfolio
•Review invoices for proper coding and approvals
•Prepare loan draws for ongoing construction projects/maintain construction budgets
•Perform bookkeeping for various entities on QuickBooks
REQUIREMENTS
2+ years experience in real estate accounting
degree
