We're the largest state and local tax practice in the United States, with over 1,000 dedicated professionals who can identify, resolve, and implement solutions to your complex state and local tax issues. Our practice saves taxes on current filings, recover cash related to obscure provisions and optimize benefits related to state and local matters through our extensive service offerings.  These include State Tax Controversies, Credits & Incentives, Income & Franchise Tax, Property Tax, and Sales & Use Tax.
 
Tax Managers have in-depth, first-hand experience in a wide range of industries and tax areas.  They draw on expertise in accounting and taxation to provide compliance and consulting services to corporate and
individual clients.  Tax Managers identify complex tax issues and provide tax analysis for a variety of entities and their affiliates.
 
Our Tax Managers' primary responsibilities include:
 
         Researching and analyzing of a wide range of multistate tax issues for a variety of state and local taxes (such as income, franchise, sales, use, business license, etc.) for clients in diverse industries.
         Overseeing complex tax research projects for clients in diverse industries.
         Identification of tax implications related to client operations.
         Working one-on-one with managers, partners and clients to develop tax solutions to business problems. 
         May also include performing and overseeing a limited number of tax compliance assignments for client corporations and other entities. 
 As a Deloitte Tax Manager, all applicants must possess the following:
 
         Five or more years experience in preparing and reviewing client work
papers and income tax returns, and/or working in a multistate tax practice.
         Knowledge of managing projects including scheduling, budgeting, client correspondence and billing.
         Excellent research and writing skills.
         Excellent presentation and communications skills.
         Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or other business related field.
         JD, LLM, and Master of Tax Degrees are preferred.
         CPA, CMI or other accreditation required.
