Sr. Technical Analyst

Evaluate the business voice telecommunication requirements by site and/or on a network-wide basis. Development solutions meeting customer requirements. Activities include but are not limited to the following:

Determine the customer's requirements and deliverables

Research vendor proposals, evaluate performance and make recommendations

Provide design recommendations

Obtain solution pricing including vendor, hardware/software, facility and contractor

Document technical solutions, alternatives, issues and the corporate financial

commitment to upper management

Contribute to capital proposal documentation

Provisioning and Procurement

Coordinate and assist with implementation

Liaison with external vendors on pricing, deliverables, configurations, and project timelines.



Support and maintain Avaya platform systems, including S8700 - S8720, G650, G3R, Intuity Voice Mail, Call Management System, VoIP technology, other voice related equipment and the corporate telecommunications network. Activities include but are not limited to the following:

Moves, adds, changes, including cabling.

System administration, including development of VDNs, and Vectors

Diagnoses and resolution of problems system and network issues. This includes network services, circuits, ACD, CMS, Voice Mail, PBX routing, Universal Dial Plan, hardware and software. In addition, resolution includes working with external vendors.

Perform system backups on the PBX, CMS, Voice Mail, etc.

On-call technical support

Adhere to Corporate Security policies and procedures

Liaison with external vendors



Maintain accurate facility, hardware and software records on a per site, per project and per network basis. Activities include but are not limited to the following:

Project plans documentation

Provisioning of Voice facilities documentation

Maintain Visio and Excel network and site records

Validate and resolve all vendor-billing issues

Provide adequate status and documentation on assigned tasks. Communicate with and make presentations to all levels of users and internal and external organizations
REQUIREMENTS


Working knowledge of Avaya telecommunication systems, and adjuncts, building wiring, call routing and features

Ability to multitask

Ability to operate autonomously and in a group environment.

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Working knowledge of telecommunications networks and network services.



Five (5) or more years Telecommunications experience in the design implementation and modification of Avaya Definity G3R, CMS, Intuity Voice Mail and other voice related equipment.

Minimum 1 year experience administering S87XX PBX'. Minimum 1 year experience administering, implementing and troubleshooting VoIP technology .

5 years experience with common carrier services such as T1's, ISDN PRI, telecommunication services and LEC provided central office trunking.

Call Center technology experience is a plus
