Our financial products and services drive sales, deepen guest relationships and sustain outstanding profitability.PurposeAs a Sr. Team Development Leader (TDL), Check Collections, you will lead a group of collectors who discuss returned check with guests over the telephone. The TDL is responsible for ensuring that individual team members deliver performance expectations, and that the team meets its goals. The TDL is also responsible for meeting expense and staffing commitments.See Yourself: Supervising a group of team members in order to deliver individual and group performance goals.
Ensuring proper new hire training by monitoring the work of the training area.
Monitoring and auditing the work of each team member to ensure maximum effectiveness and adherence to collection laws and procedures.
Providing consistent and worthwhile feedback to each team member on the quality and quantity of their work. This feedback must be supportive and constructive.
Recognizing strong performance, and coaching/counseling poor performance. Terminating team members who consistently perform below expectation.
Inspiring team work between each team member and with other collection groups.
Maintaining accurate team member records, including audit results, production, attendance, and adherence to company policy. Delivering staffing and expense commitments.
Tracking actual staffing resources and monitor against commitments.
Interviewing and hiring qualified team members to meet staffing commitments.
Working with HR and external vendors to ensure adequate levels of candidates.
Managing payroll expense to commitment. Forecasting monthly payroll. Supporting the enhancement of collection and operational strategy.
Analyzing collector performance and recommending improvements to collection training, approach, systems, etc.
Being active in analyzing the impact of collection strategy on accounts receivable performance. Recommending changes to collection strategy based on this analysis.Job RequirementsMinimum Requirements: B.S. or B.A. degree
2+ years of previous supervisory experience.
Proven leadership skills and the ability to effectively develop, manage, and motivate people within a fast-paced and production oriented work environment.
Excellent communication, organization and analytical skills.
Ability to lead a group who needs to be assertive.
Proven skills in handling people issues and conflict resolution.
Strong customer service perspective/experience.
Ability to flex schedule to meet the demands of a 7 day a week operation
Desired Requirements: Previous Collections/phone center operations experience.
