Sr. SEC Reporting Analyst

Job Category: Accounting/Finance/SEC ReportingGeneral Responsibilities: MoneyGram International currently has an opening for a Sr. SEC Reporting Analyst at the corporate headquarters located in St. Louis Park, MN. Specific responsibilities of the position include:ReportingPrepare financial disclosures in the Company’s Form 10-Q, Form 10-K and Earnings Release; compensation disclosure tables for the Company’s proxy statement filing; quarterly and ad hoc financial schedules and analysis for senior management and external auditors; and regulatory financial surveys.Maintain Corporate Accounting Policy Manual and supporting documentation for the information contained in the periodic SEC filings.Technical Accounting and MonitoringAssist in monitoring and summarizing changes in US and International GAAP and with implementation of new accounting guidance.Prepare and maintain International to US GAAP adjustments for subsidiary accounting.Complete monthly debt covenant reporting.Support SEC Manager and Assistant Controller with ad hoc analysis or special projects as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
Skills and Experience Required: BA/BS degree in accounting required.CPA certificate or demonstrated effort and intent to obtain CPA certificate, required.A minimum of 3 years increasingly responsible public accounting (preferably Big 4) and/or financial accounting experience (such as SEC or technical accounting) required.Experience with GAAP related research and application of pronouncements required.Knowledge of and experience with SEC filing and regulatory requirements required.Effective written and oral communication skills required. Experience drafting account memos/presentation papers for Sr. Executives preferred.Effective time management and organizational skills with the ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines and manage multiple priorities required.Ability to work with minimal supervision required.Proficient user of Microsoft office applications required. Must be able to create and utilize complex excel spreadsheets.
