Sr. Revenue Accountant

This position reports to the Revenue Manager and is responsible for accounting for and reporting orders, revenue, and backlog by division, product line, and geographic region. The successful candidate will be experienced and comfortable in interacting with all levels of management.

Duties include:
• Generating weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports
• Reviewing terms and conditions of contracts, quotations, and customer purchase orders to determine proper timing of revenue recognition
• Tracking and reporting deferred revenue and deferred cost
• Reconciling supporting schedules to the general ledger
• Preparing and entering journal entries for related accounts
• Preparing revenue files for quarterly review by auditors
• Preparing annual revenue report by state, and other reports as needed
• Communication with Sales & Marketing personnel
• Recommending process improvements
REQUIREMENTS
Requirements:
• In-depth knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles, including revenue recognition rules
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• Solid financial, analytical, and technical skills
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Experience reviewing contracts and identifying issues
• Excel experience required
• Good working knowledge of accounting systems, Oracle experience, preferred
• CPA preferred
