Top Tier Speciality Contractor looking for a Sr. Project Accountant position.

Responsibilities:
1) Prepare and reconcile payroll, vendor or contractor invoices, client invoices, back charge invoices and the like. Prepare various period ending financial reports and various cost or statistical reports.
2) Resolve discrepancies on payroll reports, vendor or contractor invoices by interfacing with other departments, vendors or contractors.
3) Establish and maintain records of transactions where follow-up action is required and recommend action for closing
4) Recommend methods for improving procedures and systems to department. Upon approval, prepare procedures and implement system changes.
5) Perform detailed audits of subordinates or project prepared records and documents.
6) Prepare daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual closing statements and/or reports for multiple accounting disciplines.
7) Conduct internal audits to ensure good accounting practices are followed on site.
8) Supervise employees within the Accounting group on one or more projects.
9) Perform additional assignments per manager's direction.
REQUIREMENTS
Requirements:
1) 4-year business/accounting degree.
2) Minimum 4+ years experience with construction accounting,
3) 3+ years in a supervisory capacity or equivalent combinations of training and experience.
4) Knowledge of GAAP, general construction accounting auditing, cost accounting, payroll, and invoicing required.
5) Accounting related software, Excel, Access, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Outlook.
6) Effective written and oral communication skills essential.
