Manages; plans and directs departmental activities; including responsibility for the integrity and reconciliation of the Accounts Payable liability account to the ledger. Oversees the efficient operation of accounts payable and related systems. Assures that payments are made in accordance with MasterCard's policies and procedures; related accounting principles and best business practices. Provides data and various reports to track spending trends; identify areas of unusual activity and ensures that expenses are recorded in the proper period. Manages special departmental projects. Assists in the testing; implementation and administration of MasterCard products in house such as the P-Card; eP3; RPPS. Develops schedules; procedures and systems to enable the timely and informative dissemination of Accounts Payable information to Business Units to include in reporting of financial data. Manages a staff of Senior Coordinator and Coordinators.
REQUIREMENTS
Education:BS Degree in Accounting or equivalent combination of knowledge and experience preferred.
Experience/Knowledge:Extensive experience in Accounts Payable, and a solid understanding of accounting theories and concepts. Knowledge of Sales and Use Tax, 1099 reporting, VAT, electronic funds transfers and experience in international payments. Strong project management skills.
Supervision:Reports to the VP, Accounting.
