To assist the Senior Vice President (SVP) /CSO Corporate Security in managing, preparing, administering, and directing the control of the budget. Reviews and approves recommendations for financial planning and control. Monitors division and department adherence to approved budget. Participates with other senior managers to establish corporate strategic plans and objectives. Makes final decisions on administrative or operational matters and ensures effective achievement of operation?s objectives. Erroneous decisions will have a serious impact on the overall success of functional, division, or company operations. Regularly interacts with executives and/or major customers. Interactions normally involve controversial situations, customer negotiations, or influencing and persuading other senior level managers. Directs and controls the activities of a broad functional area through several department managers within and outside of the company having overall responsibility for planning, budgeting, implementing and maintaining costs, methods, and employees.
Establishes operational objectives and assignments. Objectives are reviewed by senior management to determine success of operation. Involved in developing, modifying, and executing company policies which affect immediate operation(s) and may also have company-wide effect. Erroneous decisions will result in critical delay(s) in schedules and/or unit operations and may jeopardize overall business activities. Regularly interacts with senior management or executive levels on matters concerning several functional areas, divisions and/or customers. Requires the ability to change the thinking of, or gain acceptance of, others in sensitive situations. Manages activities of two or more sections or departments through managers and vendors who exercise full supervision in terms of costs, methods, and employees.
Develop and manage long term goals and strategic objectives for Corporate Security, including identification of opportunities to improve financial and operational performance by coordinating efforts of its diverse directorates. Update plans as needed and monitor and report on progress.
Provide assessment of strengths, weaknesses, issues, and opportunities; ensure best use of Corporate Security resources by defining and planning strategic and long-range goals.
Provide advice and assistance in preparation of annual budget, including budget forecasting, analysis of past budgets, review of budget requests from Corporate Security directorates, and preparation of budget summaries for submission to Corporate Security?s SVP/CSO.
Monitor budget throughout the year by reviewing reports and accounting records to determine if allocated funds have been spent as specified; prepare reports analyzing deviations; manage expenses to budget to ensure that annual goals and objectives set by the SVP/CSO are met.
Align with other directorates within Corporate Security, both regional and functional, coordinating efforts as required; liaise with various business units within McKesson as required
Comply with all Corporate Security directives, whether written or oral, issued by the SVP/CSO or his designee; with all Corporate Security policies, procedures and guidelines; and with all Corporate Security reporting requirements, including those associated with a Incident reporting System
Undertake domestic and international travel as required
Develop and implement professional development plan

Responsible for managing, preparing, administering, and directing the control of the budget. Manages the activities of the financial analyst staff. Reviews and approves recommendations for financial planning and control. Monitors division and department adherence to approved budget.Minimum Requirements
5+ years finance or accounting experience including 2+ years managerial experienceAdditional Knowledge & Skills
Bachelor's Degree in related field required; MBA or other advanced degree with strong focus on business planning or finance preferred
Minimum ten (10) years experience in business or government; minimum two (2) years as manager
Minimum three (3) years experience in accounting practices, processes and systems with demonstrated ability to forecast, develop, analyze, monitor and control budgets, as well as the ability to review and monitor capital project requests
Knowledge and understanding of the principles, processes and requirements for strategic planning and development within a large multi-national corporation; knowledge of pharmaceutical operations a plus
Advanced knowledge of finance policies, practices and systems
Prior experience in developing and delivering financial programs for professionals
Proven success with change management
Ability to gather and critically evaluate information
Excellent written and verbal skills required, including ability to understand and communicate complex issues clearly and concisely
Strong organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to gather and critically evaluate information and prepare written documents that clearly and concisely identify the issues presented and their proposed resolutions
Must be strategic thinker with a firm understanding of the balance between business and security
Must be well-spoken, calm and have ability to inspire confidence; must be a self-starter, capable of working either independently or as part of a team
Must be able to work on and prioritize multiple tasks; must be able to work well under pressure, both internal and external, and exercise sound judgment
Technological aptitude, including familiarity with standard MS-Office tools, as well as database management, and web-displayable content development
Strong negotiation and vendor management skills, including ability to monitor a budget
Must be able to handle and work with confidential information.Education
