-Achieve Business Results: Provide month-end financial reporting and analysis of actual results and preparation of the monthly forecast. Provide monthly explanation of variances in performance from plan and forecast. Assist in reviewing, analyzing and determining causes of trends in financial performance to ensure continuous improvement or to minimize unfavorable consequences.
-Financial Reporting: Prepare cost data reports and journal entries required for monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and perform general ledger account analysis.
-Financial Analysis: Ability to identify business/financial issues, communicate statistical support, monitor manufacturing variances and take necessary corrective actions by providing solutions and assistance to closure.
-Management Information and Analysis: Clear and effective communication of information to all levels of management. Analyze process flows for data integrity, effectiveness and efficiencies. Develop performance measures and process change improvement. Provide financial and analytical assistance to management for decision making.
-Physical Inventory: Assist in completion of annual physical inventories including audit functions, training and performning reconciliation tasks as assigned.
-Annual Plan: Develop and establish standard cost rates for labor and overhead departments for the annual planning process, including departmental budgets, material and conversion cost variances and other manufacturing related items. Analyze impact for accuracy and data integrity.
-Business Unit Support: Participate in and provide financial support for cross-functional groups and other complex analysis projects.
-Champion Continuous Improvement: Advocate and help implement a "better way" for self and others work processes.
REQUIREMENTS
SKILLS - FUNCTIONAL/TECHNICAL:
-Financial Analysis: Ability to gather relevant information and identify key issues/relationships; ability to relate and compare data from different sources and to identify cause-effect relationships.
-Project Management: Execution of financial analysis; self-starter and proactive; identify problems and potential solutions to management; take action to achieve goals beyond what is required.
-Quantitative Analysis: Ability to understand and evaluate numberical data, tables, charts or graphs; perform calculations, make comparisons, and combine quantitative information.
-Building Business Partnerships: Ability to work effectively with internal and external partners to accomplish organizational goals and identify and resolve problems.
-Communication Skills: Ability to express ideas clearly and effectively in both written and oral communications; ability to interface with all levels of management.
-Ability to work independently and prioritize work objectives to meet multiple requests in an accurate, timely and professional manner.
-Proven ability to provide solutions to complex financial issues.
-Proficient in Excel, Access, Power Point and Oracle or similar ERP system. Ability to develop relational databases and financial models.
-Knowledge and application of problem solving tools similar to those acquired through CACI, 7-Step training and Six Sigma.
-Background in Financial Reporting, Financial Analysis or Manufacturing Accounting.
-Working knowledge of GAAP and 4 - 7 years experience in positions of increasing responsbility.
-Exposure to complex manufacturing systems in a similar industry.
