Sr. Internal Audit - Fortune 500

Our client is currently seeking a Sr. Internal Auditor for their Corporate Audit Group. In this position you will gain experience within a multi-billion dollar international company.RESPONSIBILITIES:• Conduct and/or lead audits (operational and financial) of Company operations to identify opportunities where internal controls can be cost effectively enhanced.• Gain strong comprehension of Company operations, processes and business objectives and utilize that knowledge on process reviews to identify opportunities where business processes can be improved.• Proactively interact with key members of management to gather, inform and make recommendations for business and process improvements, both verbally and in written reports.• Analyze financial data (i.e., general ledger transactions and financial statements) and be able to identify accounting irregularities and perform risk assessments using the Companys financial records.• Develop a working knowledge of the Companys financial systems from the end user perspective to prepare for financial roles within the Company.• Develop Auditors and new Senior Auditors by using good leadership, reviewing and coaching techniques.• Develop a working knowledge of the Company and the non-alcoholic beverages industry to prepare for a future leadership position within the Company
REQUIREMENTS
QUALIFICATIONS:• Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Computer Science or related field required.• Graduate degree a plus.• Minimum 3 years experience with a public accounting firm in an auditing capacity or well-established internal audit department with manufacturing or consumer product experience.• Big 4 public accounting experience a plus.• CPA (Certified Public Accountant), CIA (Certified Internal Auditor) preferred.• Experience with Sarbanes-Oxley compliance preferred• SAP controls experience desirable.• Strong software skills (e.g. MS Office Suite, MS Visio, ACL)• Open to 20% travel requirement
