Sr. Financial Reporting Analyst
Position: Senior Financial Reporting Analyst

BASIC FUNCTION: Prepare and distribute audited and unaudited subsidiary financial statements in conformity with accounting principles generally accepted in the U.S. Coordinate the annual audits of these subsidiaries, as required, and function as liaison with external auditors and other departments in the preparation of quarterly and annual subsidiary financial statements, responding to questions and furnishing information upon request.
DUTIES:
1. Prepare and distribute audited and unaudited subsidiary financial statements, including footnotes as required, in conformity with accounting principles generally accepted in the U.S. Prepare supporting documentation, ensuring that proper format is used, supporting schedules are prepared and all workpapers are properly documented.
2. Prepare consolidating trial balances (income statement and balance sheet) for subsidiaries to be used in the preparation of consolidated subsidiary financial statements.
3. Propose and prepare topside adjusting journal entries necessary for a fair presentation of the consolidated financial position of consolidated subsidiaries.
4. Post all approved topside journal entries into the accounting system subsequent to finalization of the financial statements.
5. Maintain all subsidiary (un)audited financial statement files, including excess copies of financial statements.
6. Prepare the consolidated statement of cash flows for all required subsidiary financial statements.
7. Coordinate the annual audits of these subsidiaries, as required, and function as liaison with external auditors and other departments in the preparation of quarterly and annual subsidiary financial statements, responding to questions and furnishing information upon request.
8. Prepare audit schedules requests and assign responsibilities to other internal and external department personnel as necessary.
9. Assist in the review of balance sheet account analyses for various consolidation and purchase accounting sets of books for proper preparation and posting of journal vouchers.
10. Keep abreast of organizational and operational changes and assist in identifying future activities that will require consolidation/elimination journal entries.
11. Obtain an understanding of the complex corporate structure and relationships between affiliates.
12. Maintain, and update as necessary, documentation of processes in compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOx) Section 404. Ensure key controls are prepared in accordance with documented processes.
13. Prepare and/or review as necessary assigned schedules for internal reporting purposes.
14. Provide assistance to the Supervisor of Financial Reporting * External Reporting as needed in the preparation of SEC required reports and other external reporting supporting packages. On a quarterly and annual basis, prepare all related disclosure requirement work papers.
15. Assist with special projects as requested.
EDUCATION:
Bachelor degree with a major in Accounting or Finance; CPA required or in active pursuit of CPA certification.
EXPERIENCE:
A minimum of 4 years professional experience with an emphasis on general ledger accounting and financial reporting preferred. Experience with multi-level consolidations, preparation of financial statements and footnotes in accordance with U.S. GAAP, preparation of supporting workpaper documentation and public accounting is a plus.
SKILLS:
Ability to use spreadsheets, word processing, operating systems, database and communications software programs effectively. Exposure to general ledger accounting in large multi-company organizations.
INGENUITY:
Ability to delegate and work effectively with others. Must be able to recognize problems and offer solutions. Possess high level of analytical skills with ability to interpret results. Ability to determine priorities and work on several projects simultaneously. Develop more efficient ways of working with the information and compiling reports and propose process improvements.
DECISION MAKING:
Ability to identify and solve problems. Determine priority of assignments.
