Sr. Corporate Accountant

Support Corporate Accounting objectives by assisting with Statutory and GAAP accounting and
special projects.

Duties and Responsibilities:

•Prepare PFG quarterly and annual statutory statements including analysis, footnotes and MD&A for NAIC and State filings. Also prepare PFG GAAP statements for internal use.
•Prepare PFG annual statement including notes and supporting schedules for the KPMG audit.
•Prepare schedules and provide general assistance as needed for State Examiners.
•Maintain Fixed Asset System and book fixed assets quarterly journal entries.
•Book PFG production entries and various other PFG journal entries as needed.
•Complete various regulatory filings and surveys.
•Work on various projects to achieve efficiency goals as set by management
REQUIREMENTS
MUST HAVE INSURANCE INDUSTRY BACKGROUND

5 to 7 years of Accounting experience in the insurance industry
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
Computer Training: Knowledge of Excel, Word, General Ledger system (Oracle, PeopleSoft, SAP, etc.)
