Sr. Accountant/Asst. Controller

Classification: Full Time Compensation: $60000 to $80000 per year Our client, a leading international luxury retailer, seeks a Sr. Accountant. Reporting directly to the Assistant Controller, this individual will get great exposure to upper management. Responsibilities are as follows:

Close books and complete monthly close activities in accordance with monthly close schedule with minimal supervision.

Analyze monthly results and provide explanation of significant variances on both the balance sheet and income statement

Preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports and schedules

Responsible for royalty accounting; perform monthly analysis of royalty agreement and preparation of royalty calculations and accruals as well as ensuring new royalty contract and amendments are accounted for correctly.

Manage preparation of Sales and Used Tax

Provide assistance and guidance on special projects including system implementations and process improvements.
