Sponsored Project Specialist

The Project Specialist will provide support for post award activity in the grants/contracts area. Post award activities include accounting, budgeting and overall monitoring of grants and contracts. Oversee post award management (sponsored awards); review agency award documents and input information into accounting system (BASIS). Review and approve budgets in conjunction with notice of award documents. Prepare retroactive expenditure corrections. Maintain knowledge of current federal, state and local government grant and contract regulations and procedures as well as guidelines for private agencies. Educate departments on current post award issues and procedures. Act as internal and external liasion on matters pertaining to post award activities. See additional information.
REQUIREMENTS
Two years of college with courses in accounting, business or equivalent work experience required. Three years related experience required. Excellent communication skills with all levels of University employees (faculty, department administrators, research administration and research accounting, etc.) BS preferred. Advanced knowledge of AINQ and CUFS including most JHU electronic systems preferred.
