Specialist, National Services Group (Accounts Payable focus)

Known as employers of choice for innovative human resources programs, they are dedicated to helping their clients and people excel.This position will be responsible for the reconciling and payment of events for various meeting categories including, but not limited to, hotels/conference centers, meeting venues, production/audio visual services, convention centers, destination management companies and other elements of a typical Deloitte meeting.  
 
Activities will include:
 
Meeting Reconciliation:
         Audit rooming
lists to invoices
         Dispute invoice irregularities
         Ensure all appropriate back up and supporting documentation is submitted
         Maintain meeting costs in the Meeting Management System
         Calculate attrition and cancellation fees associated with meetings
         Close out the meeting in appropriate systems
         Work closely with meeting planners, Suppliers and internal clients
 
Invoice Reconciliation and Payment:
         Analyze meeting invoices and assign appropriate ledger apportionment
         Submit request for payments (RFP) ensuring all necessary approvals are obtained
         Key RFP into Accounts Payable system
 
Position will also trouble-shoot inquiries concerning invoices
 Must possess strong research and analytical skills including mastery of analysis tools such as MS Excel, MS Access or other database programs and reporting tools. 
 
Must possess a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Mathematics, and
Business Administration or related field; minimum of 3-5 years of relevant work experience, preferable in a accounts payable role. 
 
Experience with the strategic procurement process in a large decentralized environment is preferred. 
 
Must be a team player and be able to work under tight time constraints and work effectively in a cross function team environment.  Must be organized with excellent interpersonal skills, both oral and written. 
 
Must be able to work independently, with an ability to interact and build consensus among people.
