In this High Value - High Profile - Business Wide Project - you will have overall responsibility for the development, delivery and support of production applications, system, and products in a multi-platform environment.
You will provide our clients and business partners with end-to-end service by implementing, monitoring, and maintaining production applications, systems and products. You will maintain online service and batch processing schedules while managing and implementing required changes. You will maintain 7/24 first-level service support for our applications, systems and services during and after product/service releases and changes. You will need to participate in monitoring, meeting and reporting on Service Level Agreements.
REQUIREMENTS
your profile
The position is for a Senior Technical Analyst, primarily. The assigned responsibilities include:
1) interfacing with product/application development teams to understand their architecture.
2) translate/validate business requirements into hardware/infrastructure component level designs.
3) educate application teams on hardware standards for which the application design needs to conform.
4) drive infrastructure documentation effort and build-out status based on project planning timelines and milestones.
Knowledge requirements:
1) Post-secondary education in Information System or related field of studies.
2) Professional Certifications are a plus.
3) Must have previous multi-platform knowledge and support in LAN/WAN (including firewalls and load balancing technologies/capabilities), UNIX (HP-UX), W2K(3), and TANDEM.
4) Previous application and tools support experience with Batch Scheduling, job scheduling (TIDAL, MAESTRO), Unix Scripting, PERL,
5) Must have previous database management experience with Oracle and SQL (at least in the application usage and backup/restore areas).
6) Project management skills required to coordinate infrastructure installations and migrations within a multi-tiered service organization spanning many different technologies and teams. Experience with TeamPlay and MS project is a plus.
7) 2+years of senior level application support experience, including batch scheduling and processing, Problem and Change Management, experience in a large Production and Operations environment, experience in an ERP, High Availability environment, experience with systems management vendors.
