Senior Tax Manager, Research & Experimentation

We are currently seeking a Tax Senior Manager to join us in our Chicago office. This job could possibly be located in another major Midwest city.KPMG's Federal Tax Services practice is a resource for clients that need help complying with the latest IRS rules and regulations. Our tax professionals who handle federal tax issues bring the experience and commitment necessary to deliver tax compliance and advisory services to help meet our clients' specific needs.Responsibilities:

Manage existing and new client projects in the Research and Experimentation credit area

Support Research and Experimentation credit calculations in conjunction with our Tax Controversy Services group

Review Research and Experimentation credit positions for purposes of FAS 109 tax contingency reserve assessments

Demonstrate a high degree of project management skills, current technical skills, and staff mentoring skills
Job Requirements
Qualifications:

Six years of federal corporate tax experience

Bachelor's degree in Accounting from an accredited college/university

Current skills in the management, review, and delivery of Research and Experimentation credit projects on a large and small scale

Public accounting experience in the last three years, including client service, FAS 109, and staff management responsibilities
