Description:
--Preparation of complex portions of federal and state income tax returns, with review of all portions prepared by Tax Accountant.

--Conducting research associated with federal and state tax filings.

--Monitoring and improving the tax department's SOX internal control procedures and documentation.

Monitoring and maintaining the Tax Calendar to ensure that all filings are timely.

--Supervising and mentoring one employee and performing their formal reviews.

--Providing guidance to the Tax Accountant for technical research issues and external issues involving customers or vendors.
REQUIREMENTS
--BS in Accounting, MST a plus.
--CPA strongly preferred* 3 + years of progressively increasing tax experience (Public or Corporate Tax Department)
--Strong organizational skills; this position requires an ability to coordinate work schedules
--Strong analytical skills,analysis skills, as well as a strong understanding of tax laws and its
applications
--Strong oral and written communication skills.
