Basic Qualifications:
Technical: 5 to 6 years experience in basic system administration and security of Unix and Microsoft, vulnerability scans, intrusion detection/prevention systems (ISS preferred), Tripwire, penetration testing, knowledge of networking, auditing, user administration, policy development, and scripting.Functional: 4 to 5 years of experience in auditing processes against procedures, leading technical projects, able to formulate and document processes, examine architecture for security issues, perform security related research of vulnerabilities and mitigating products, perform security related assessments and audits.Industry Experience: 5-6 years of IT technology.
Preferred Skills:
Technical: Administration of Tripwire, intrusion prevention systems (ISS preferred), vulnerability scanners (ISS preferred) and scripting for automation (PERL, etc.) Perform compliance audits using security tools or manual processes to ensure controls are adequately met.
Functional: Writing reports and operations manuals, architecture and system design, product-testing processes, work planning.
Certified Information Systems Security Professional preferred.
