Senior Payroll Analyst
Business Unit: GE Commercial Finance, Real EstateFunction: Human ResourcesResponsibilities: With over $1 billion in assets and 1,800 employees, InterPark, an affiliate of GE Real Estate, is the world's premier owner, manager, and developer of parking facilities. Complete pre and post audit of payroll to facilitate any applicable adjustments. Work on special payroll related projects and reports as directed by the Manager. Perform functions associated with the administration of the company's payroll operation including oversight of transition of time and attendance data into the payroll system. Responsible for balancing payroll runs, producing federal, state and local tax payments. Research and resolve tax discrepancies. Reconcile quarterly and annual payroll tax reports. Answer employee questions and troubleshoot payroll issues. Responsible for enforcing all new payroll policies and procedures. Act as liaison with outside computer payroll processing operation for problem resolution and error correction. Process approved personnel actions regarding pay, wage rate, hiring, promotion, termination, retirement plan, etc. Receive authorization for all non-routine or unscheduled payroll transactions. Assume responsibility for the compilation, computation, and preparation of other payroll-related data, reports, checks, and transmittals. Develop and distribute specialized custom reports. Manage payroll function in the manager's absence.
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications: * High School Diploma or GED equivalent Minimum 3 years of computerized payroll experience such as ADP, Ceridian, Paychex, etc. ADP Enterprise and ReportSmith experience preferred. Understanding and use of standard concepts, practices, procedures and regulations affecting payroll processing Strong analytical ability to complete payroll audits and map processes High level of accuracy and attention to detail Strong computer proficiency, including MS Excel and Word Excellent organization and communication skills Proven customer service skills Ability to perform duties in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines Ability to work weekends and holidays as needed Ability to travel occasionally as required
