Senior Manager - State & Local Tax

We currently seek a Senior Manager to join us in our Los Angeles, Salt Lake City, Portland, Seattle, Mountain View, San Francisco, San Diego, or Phoenix offices.KPMG’s State and Local Tax (SALT) practice needs more members for their Income Franchise team. KPMG's SALT practice assists clients as they work to reduce their tax liabilities and enhance the bottom line. As a national practice, SALT is committed to bringing some of the best professionals to each engagement and providing dynamic tax services to clients.
Responsibilities
Assist state and local tax professionals with tax planning, refund analysis, nexus review and contractual registrations

Supervise, mentor and develop staff members

Assist with targeted marketing, management and delivery of SALT Services

Maintain high levels of staff utilization

Assist in business development efforts and support practice revenue goals

Oversight and delivery on large client project engagements
Job Requirements
Qualifications
Eight years of experience in providing sales and transactions tax research and technical advice on multi-state issues

Strong knowledge of the development, planning and execution of sales and transactions tax refund claims

Experience with various other corporate taxes, and their impact on sales tax

Must be willing to travel
