Senior/Manager R&D Finance

Job Summary: This position is responsible for managing the finances of the US R&D and SL organizations. This includes developing the Strategic Plan, Quarterly Forecasts, and Fiscal Year Budgets for all R&D projects, SL support, and Administrative Cost Centers. This position will also direct the appropriate consolidation of other North American R&D and SL organizations for the local and global company’s P&L. This position is responsible for presenting the R&D and SL financial reports to US and global senior management. This position will work with all levels of R&D, Project Management, and Corporate Finance and Accounting at both domestic and international locations to manage the US R&D and SL project and administrative budgets, expenses, and reports.
Job Responsibilities: Responsible for planning and providing direction to the development of the complete APUS R&D project and administrative budgets for Fiscal Year and Mid Term Plan (MTP). Responsible for planning and providing direction to the development of SL project and administrative budgets for Fiscal Year and MTP. Responsible for planning and providing direction to the development of the Quarterly Forecast and Accruals for R&D and SL projects and administrative expenses. Responsible for planning and providing direction to the development of the monthly R&D and SL project and administrative variance guidance reports. Plan and implement processes that improve effectiveness, accuracy, timeliness, and productivity of the R&D Financial group. Provides the final financial approval for all study site payments (to investigators). Responsible for developing and directing the implementation of processes that adhere to appropriate corporate policies, GAAP, and J-SOX regulations.
REQUIREMENTS
Job Requirements: BA/BS in Finance, Accounting, or Business is required MBA is required 5-7 years of previous supervisory experience in a Finance/Accounting group is required CPA desired Previous experience in a pharmaceutical R&D environment desired Must have excellent interpersonal, writing and verbal communication skills.
