Senior Financial Reporting Analyst

Key Responsibilities

Prepare journal entries and participate in monthly, quarterly and annual closing process.


Perform monthly, quarterly and annual account reconciliations and analyses. Review methodologies for reasonableness in light of current business conditions and to confirm that accounting is performed in compliance with documented policies.


Financial statement review and analysis. Provide flux explanations and variance analysis.


Prepare year-end schedules to support 10-K footnote disclosures. Prepare year-end tax entity reporting schedules to support the federal and state tax returns.


Review accounting processes for control design and operating effectiveness. Work in project teams to develop and implement internal control and process improvements. Examples of current projects include: fixed assets systems implementation, A/P process reengineering, travel and entertainment reimbursement, financial systems implementation.


Supervision and review of work performed by clerical staff.


Other ad hoc projects and analyses.





Background and Education Requirements


Requires a BS in Accounting and/or Finance.
Wold prefer a background from a Big 4 or middle-tier public accounting firm and/or a manufacturing company with a minimum of 4 years experience.
Must have strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to be a self starter and work independently.
Must be proficient in Excel and Word
