Analyst / Senior Financial Analyst, Sales & Marketing
Reporting To:
Manager, Financial Planning & AnalysisEssential Functions:
• Responsible for providing accounting, reporting, financial planning and financial analysis support to the Sales & Marketing organization.• Functions as the primary liaison between Sales & Marketing and Finance.Responsibilities:
• Work with Sales & Marketing management in the establishment and oversight of global sales & marketing organization and infrastructure.• Maintain the Company’s books and records according to US GAAP and IAS standards as required and according to the time line established to meeting all internal and external reporting requirements.• Maintain, monitor, identify deficiencies and recommend solutions to the internal control structure at Company in a Sarbanes-Oxley environment.• Assist in developing the information system requirements for the Sales & Marketing department consistent with the overall Information Technology architecture and guidelines.• Assist in the preparation of sales forecasts and expense budgets in support of planning processes, including identifying customer segments in the development of discounts and rebates.• Evaluate sales performance on monthly basis and support the development and monitoring of key performance metrics• Assist in managing product promotional budgets and departmental expense budgets.• Support Commercial Operations in establishing and overseeing a formal compliance program on promotional and marketing practices, including the development of dashboard reporting• Assist in interfacing with the Manufacturing Department and third-party logistics vendor concerning commercial supply availability and demand.
Relationships:
• Will directly support Sales & Marketing senior management as well as Finance senior management.• Will interact with a wide range of individuals throughout Company.
REQUIREMENTS
Experience:
• Bachelors Degree with emphasis in accounting or finance.• Two to five years experience supporting pharmaceutical or biotech sales & marketing organization.• Experience with and knowledge of pharmaceutical sales & marketing activities, including sales force structures, product detailing tactics, management of promotional budgets, product forecasting, sales performance metrics, prescription and sales data, managed care discounts and rebates, interfacing with manufacturing to manage supply. Basic understanding of good promotional compliance practices preferable.• Excellent communication and organizational skills. Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
