Senior Financial Analyst - NYC Publicly-listed Media Co.

My client, a large publicly-listed media/publishing company with global operations, seeks a strong accountant to assume the responsibilities of Senior Financial Analyst (SFA).

The SFA will function as a key member of a fast paced, high performing team responsible for:
- assisting with internal and external financial reporting
- forecasts and budgets
- leading change initiatives
- financial analysis in financial/external reporting, business controls and productivity areas
- compile financial information to support the 10K/10Q and press releases, including footnote preparation, MD&A analysis and financial table preparation in both US GAAP and IFRS.
- develop and implement solutions to drive improved quality, timeliness and control within the company’s financial processes
- projects / project planning in areas such as assisting with global ERP implementation/conversion, converting US/IFRS GAAP, M&A and SOX
- assist with preparation of the internal reporting and management presentations for Executives and BOD
- work directly with Business Units, Tax, Treasury, Investor Relations and other departments
REQUIREMENTS
MUST-HAVE's:

1. Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Finance
2. 5+ years of financial reporting OR relevant audit experience with a multinational, publicly traded company serving publicly-listed clients
3. Knowledge of financial reporting processes
4. Strong US GAAP and/or IFRS knowledge and application
5. Knowledge / Exposure to SEC filings including 10Q and 10K
6. Experience with SOX / reviewing documentation and testing
7. Excellent communication and analytic skills
8. Knowledge of Hyperion Financial Management software
9. Strong work ethic, self-motivated work style and attention to detail
10. Adaptive to new challenges and changing work environment

1. CPA

3. Big 4 Audit Experience
4. Media/Publishing industry experience
