POSITION SUMMARY
This position reports to the Manager of Corporate Financial Planning as is responsible for:
• Providing financial support for the monthly close & reporting process for Corporate activities, including the determination of required monthly accruals and preparation, analysis & review with senior Corporate management of the monthly Corporate Expense report.
• Working with Corporate management to develop & summarize the projections required to support the overall annual budget & quarterly forecast updates requirements of the company. Activities include development of staffing plans, capital requirements & detailed expense projections required to support the activities Business Plan.
• Maintenance of the Corporate reporting structure.
• Maintenance, enhancement & monthly preparation of standard financial reports required by Corporate management such as the Aviation report and the Legal Services/Qui Tam spending reports.
• Ad hoc financial analysis & support as required by management.
QUALIFICATIONS
The successful candidate should exhibit the following:
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
• Preference toward proficiency in the use of ERP systems like SAP & Hyperion.
• Highly proficient in the use of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access;
• Able to work in a highly sensitive environment interfacing with multiple levels of management & with quick turnaround requirements;
• Able to work independently, as well as in a team atmosphere;
• Ability to think logically, unemotionally, and with creativity.
EDUCATION
Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting required, MBA and/or CPA preferred.
EXPERIENCE
5+ years of financial analysis/planning &/or accounting experience with a large public company including some experience in the PBM or health care industry.
