Senior Financial Analyst - Carrollton, TX

SENIOR FINANCIAL ANALYST

We are ICI Paints, and we manufacture some of the finest brands of paints, packaging coatings, caulks, and adhesives in the world, including Glidden®, Ultra-Hide®, Dulux®, Sinclair™, Devoe Coatings™, Devoe Paint®, Liquid Nails®, Ralph Lauren®, Fuller O’Brien®, Klinks®, etc. We are currently seeking a Senior Financial Analyst who is a results-oriented individual to provide plant accounting expertise along with quality service at its manufacturing facility in Carrollton, TX. The key responsibility will be to organize and direct the accounting function with an objective of ensuring sound accounting practices in presenting complete and accurate financial reporting for the plant facility.

Responsibilities:

Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting for the site.
Produce and monitor all financial statements for the Site
Manage all general ledger entries for the Site. Ensure timely/accurate posting of entries
Develop annual operating budget, forecast monthly performance in a timely manner, analyze all plant spending, coordinate and validate annual physical inventory, assist in Capital Planning, direct Capital Project Reporting and Fixed Assets
Strive for continuous improvement in reporting and financial performance.
Generate and implement ideas to reduce non-value added activities
Provide financial analysis to site management
Explore opportunities and drive actions for cost savings
Monitor and maintain controls to protect assets, and ensure proper use of resources.
Manage/review balance sheet reconciliations
Ensure proper delegation of authority and separation of duties
Test/audit control systems across local organization. Flag weaknesses and direct development of control systems.
REQUIREMENTS
This position requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration and a minimum 5 years' experience in general and cost accounting in a manufacturing environment. Excellent computer skills as well as interpersonal communication skills required.
