We are seeking a senior-level quantitative professional for modeling and research to join our Global Quantitative Financial Research team at Fitch Ratings in New York. This team is responsible for new model development, quantitative solutions, cutting edge research and thought leadership.
Responsibilities Include:
Create new analytical models (statistical, simulation and others)
Initiate and contribute to cutting-edge research
Model enhancement
Devise testing and modeling paradigms
Publish and present research internally and externally
Qualifications Include:
PhD in Finance, Economics, or Statistics
7+ years of post-doctoral relevant experience
Demonstrated ability of conducting and publishing research
Strong understanding of financial markets, especially credit markets and derivatives
Strong knowledge of SAS, MatLab, VBA, Excel, PowerPoint, Word; additionally, knowledge of C++ preferred
Excellent presentation and written skills, with an ability to communicate effectively to internal and external audiences
Ability to travel if needed (20-30% expected)
