Senior Controller

Responsible for all aspects of accounting for the Trammell Crow Investment Funds’ operations, including financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, investment valuation and analysis.

II.ACCOUNTABILITIES

May be responsible for one or more of the following:

•Oversee all aspects of accounting for the Trammell Crow Investment Funds, including budgeting, forecasting, business planning and investment analysis

•Ensure all accounting practices are in accordance with GAAP, established and documented internal controls and policies and procedures

•Coordinate quarterly and annual fund reporting, including valuation analysis, with asset managers, financial analysts and Director of Funds
•Ensure that the Fund books and records are maintained in conformity with the Real Estate Information Standards (REIS) Market Value Accounting and Reporting Standards. Ensure that such standards are in accordance with existing authoritative accounting standards

•Coordination of the annual audit, lender and investor reporting

•Hire, supervise, train and develop accounting staff as the need arises

•Identify/evaluate complex technical accounting issues; reach sound conclusions; generate alternatives and understand consequences
•Serve as a liaison between key accounting personnel, financial reporting, internal/external auditors, management and key functional leaders across the company
REQUIREMENTS
•Bachelors degree or equivalent to appropriate 4-year college program in accounting or related discipline

•CPA with 8+ years industry or public accounting experience with proven leadership abilities

•Working knowledge of GAAP accounting pronouncements impacting the real estate development industry. Working knowledge of fair value and tax basis accounting

•Strong understanding of partnership accounting, consolidations and equity accounting
•Strong ethical standards; exhibits sound and accurate judgment when dealing with routine and non-routine issues
•Familiarity and adherence to standard accounting principles; ability to follow established policies and procedures
•Strong computer software application skills (i.e. Microsoft Office, an integrated financial software such as CTI, PeopleSoft, JD Edwards)
•Strong analytical and organizational skills
•Strong interpersonal skills; excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to effectively communicate with managers and leaders across the company

•Proven record of providing excellent internal and external customer service
•Demonstrated understanding of the relationship across business functions and/or organizational lines; exhibits an understanding of the impact of financial changes across or within business or organizational lines

•Ability to manage multiple priorities with high flexibility and rapid response time

•Proven record of generating results and contributing in a superior manner in the area of Trammell Crow Company values
•Willingness to travel
