Senior Consultant, Business Application Archiving
(THE COMPANY IS HEADQUARTERED IN MT. VIEW, CA - ASSIGNMENTS ARE ACROSS UNITED STATES)This is a billable (contract-to-hire) position that ensures successful analysis, design and deployment of structured data archival products for business applications running on industry leading databases. The Senior Consultant will be responsible for driving an application archival strategy, implemented through a storage management lifecycle. This consists of gathering user requirements through end-user interviews, designing archival solutions matching storage capabilities with business requirements, driving best practices, and creating project and test plans for total lifecycle management. Throughout this process, the Senior Consultant provides both technical leadership and knowledge transfer to customers and other implementation project team members.The Senior Consultant will be working by him or herself in some accounts, and at other times as team or project leader working with a group of consultants.Activities include:
Interview, advise and drive business users to develop appropriate data retention policies, best practices, and processes to achieve rapid adoption of archival solutions.
In complex, enterprise-wide environments determine an overall implementation strategy and develop this into a project plan. This includes using a standard methodology to determine the scope of a project and building reliable timelines. The consultant will be responsible for driving or following this plan through implementation.
Document procedures, conduct training, and create test plans, including development of site-specific user guides and executive presentations.
Keep up to date on developments in existing business application modules and suites, as well as those planned for future product releases.Interface with development staff on module customizations and customized applications that interface with existing offerings from Oracle, PeopleSoft, SAP, etc.Be an in-house expert for implementation and project management team members to transfer business application modules across the practice.This position will require customer on-site presence in excess of 70%, including assignments across North America. Length of assignments varies from three days to multiple week consults. During multiple-week consults, consultants may typically travel home for weekends.Senior Consultants’ performance is measured by customer satisfaction, the amount of time spent performing billable work, and time spent mastering new products and training their peers.

Senior Business AnalystApplication Interface Developer or Architect for Oracle customizations
Business Lead for Financials, Manufacturing, Order Management, or HR in an Enterprise Business with multiple site responsibilities.
POSITION CAREER TRACK:The career track for this position is to either Principal Consultant or Practice Delivery Manager.
REQUIREMENTS
SKILLS:Advanced Functional knowledge of Oracle Financials including; GL, APPO, A/R, Projects, and Federal Administration; as well as order management, manufacturing, and/or HR/payroll.
Strong communication skills, experience with small and large group presentations to both user and executive audiences.
Experience with Oracle Application implementations, upgrades, customizations, and 3rd party reporting (Noetix, Discoverer, Business Objects etc.).
Experience in driving best practices and process improvements in existing Oracle environments, including both Business and IT experience.
Structured Test Plan development, including forms based testing, and experience with automated test suites
Six or more years of consulting, IT management, business analysis, or product development experience with business applications.Bachelors degree in computer science, business management, or equivalent experience.
Ideal:Six or more years experience working as a consultant directly involved with Oracle application installations, upgrades, testing or enhancements.
Direct experience with structured Archival products, in particular , Princeton Softec, or customized in-house solutions.
Direct experience with application performance tuning and process re-implementation for efficiency and cost reduction.REQUIRED SKILLS:The skills required for this position are:
Strong experience with the Oracle Applications suite, including specialization in one or more functional areas.
Strong background in Database technologies and tools.
Practical experience with extended reporting tools like Discoverer, Noetix, or Business Objects.
Superior writing, communication and training skills.
Strong account management skills, capable of defining, driving and tracking large projects, and managing a variety of functional and organizational issues
Ability to work independently and effectively with little supervision.
User Acceptance Test Management. Ability to create test plans and design methodology to ensure user satisfaction and acceptance of new processes.
Project Leadership. Ability to reconcile different approaches and technical styles into one workable project approach, using a standardized methodology.
Good interpersonal skills. Ability to work with people in different levels in the organization from technical administrators to management.Present a strong professional image for the company.
