Senior Billing Analyst
The Ohio Casualty Insurance Company is hiring for a Senior Billing Analyst to plan, direct, and coordinate efforts to drive process improvements and support the operations team. Implement procedural, technological, and process enhancements for the billing and collection department including the development training requirement and policy/procedural manuals. Collaborate with management in establishing and monitoring annual improvement goals and in setting project priorities. Plan, direct, and coordinate the activities of projects ensuring goals and objectives of projects are met.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Collaborates with operational units to identify, analyze, and facilitate discussions on areas for improved efficiency and cost effectiveness through standardization, simplification, new technology, elimination of unnecessary work, production of higher quality product, or improved internal controls.
Collaborates with operations and Information Systems (I/S) to map operational processes, analyze workflow procedures, design effective and efficient process improvements, and implement new processes and procedures.
Provides project leadership and accountability for projects as requested by management.
Provides consulting support to business units attempting to lead process improvements and productivity gains in their areas of responsibility.
Applies and teaches continuous process improvement concept and facilitation tools and techniques in situations as needed.
Assists manager in assigning responsibilities within the unit. Provides assistance to ensure appropriate billing procedures are followed.
Assists business units with the creation and adhesion of workflow standardization.
Identifies and resolves problems which may involve multiple departments.
Collaborates with the manager and business systems liaisons to identify system enhancement as well as assisting with development and testing of new billing products or screen design.
Monitors workflow within the team/unit to ensure effective servicing of internal/external customers. Leads and participates on process improvements, and develops, communicates, and implements new processes and procedures.
Trains new employees in work processes and procedures.
Manages the implementation of new process changes to ensure cost-effective integration and user satisfaction.
Works to develop instructional materials for business process enhancements.
Researches, writes, edits, updates, and publishes user documentation of billing processes and other production support material.
Facilitates organizational effectiveness strategies that improve business performance, organizational systems, and staff relationships within and across business units.
Cultivates an environment that encourages innovation, participation, process improvement, commitment, and teamwork among employees.
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration; equivalent work experience may be considered in lieu of degree
Experience with basic concepts of billing and collection
Knowledge of field operations
Basic knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, database, and presentation software
Demonstrated problem solving, analytical, and evaluation skills, and the ability to develop sound recommendations
Demonstrated organization, planning, and project management skills
Demonstration verbal, written, interpersonal, and presentation communication skills
Ability to work within a team environment
Ability to pay close attention to detail
Ability to train new and inexperience employees
