Senior Auditor (req.# 6130)

Cotton & Company LLP, a recognized leader in public accounting for 25 years, is seeking experienced auditors to join our firm. Headquartered in Alexandria, Virginia, we specialize in providing government auditing, accounting, consulting and IT services for some of the largest and most prestigious federal clients in the world.

We're looking for Senior Auditors with public accounting experience.

The qualified candidate will be a seasoned auditor preferably with 3+ years Federal government experience. Responsibilities include internal controls assessment, testing, and evaluations. Identifying proper controls, evaluating recommendations for implementation, performing testing and reporting of controls. Experience with controls documentation is a plus. SOX or OMB A-123 experience is preferred.
REQUIREMENTS


Minimum Required Experience:

Accounting Degree or Bachelor's with 24 hours of AccountingProficiency in MS Office specifically Word, Excel, AccessAbility to travel up to 25% domestically3+ years federal audit experienceExcellent communication and writing skillsAbility to work in a large team environment

Position requires US Citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance

Preferred Experience:

CPA or other related certification is a plusExperience with Internal Control Assessment, A-123 Audits, or SOX AuditsExperience documenting controls testing and evaluationsExperience with federal government accounting or federal audit experienceExperience with OMB Financial Management Circulars
