Legg Mason's Internal Audit Department is currently seeking a Sr. Auditor to work in their downtown Baltimore headquarters. The Sr. Auditor will assist the Audit Manager in planning, conducting and monitoring the annual testing plans of Legg Mason's program for compliance with Sarbanes Oxley Section 404 and evaluating control deficiencies. Will test and evaluate the effectiveness of key controls identified in Legg Mason's SOX 404 compliance program (entity-wide, key financial process and end-user computing) and coordinate updates to documentation and ongoing procedures for testing of related processed. Will also supervise audit activities of staff, including the review of all work papers prepared by the staff and will participate in staff recruitment, development and training. Other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
Ideal candidates will have a BS/BA with a concentration in Accounting or Finance and at least three years of audit or securities regulatory examination experience (including one of those years at a supervisory level), preferably in the Financial Services Industry. Must possess strong analytical skills, as well as strong verbal and written communication skills. Must be available for approximately 25-30% travel and CPA and/or CIA designation is required. Experience in documenting or testing of key controls under SOX 404 compliance program is highly desired.
